Brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) is a protein that, in humans, is encoded by the BDNF gene. BDNF is a member of the neurotrophic factor growth factor family and is related to the classic nerve growth factor. Neurotrophic factors are found in the brain and periphery. BDNF itself is important for long-term memory. Although most neurons in the mammalian brain are formed before birth, certain parts of the adult brain retain the ability to grow new neurons from neural stem cells in a process called neurogenesis. Neurotrophic factors are proteins that help stimulate and control neurogenesis, and BDNF is one of the most active proteins.
Neurotrophic factor, or brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF), plays a key role in neuron survival, synaptic plasticity, and cognitive function. BDNF has been shown to mediate its effects through various intracellular signaling pathways triggered by the activation of tyrosine kinase receptor B (TrkB). All neurotrophic factors that activate p75 but not related Trk receptors induce apoptosis of hippocampal neurons. From the perspective of pathogenicity, BDNF may be a potential molecular target for Alzheimer's disease.
Our Services
- Provide computer-aided drug design services for target small molecules. For the designed compounds, we provide further structure optimization and screening services.
- Provide corresponding biological statistical analysis services, including but are not limited to venn diagram service, volcano plot service, RDA/CCA analysis and canonical correspondence analysis.
- Provide pharmacophore services for target small molecules. The pharmacophore model is very suitable for searching in a virtual screening database. It provides ligand-based pharmacophore services and target-based pharmacophore services. You can do it according to your needs choose.
- Providing signal pathway analysis services can help you mediate the effects of various intracellular signal pathways triggered by BDNF activation. Related services include KEGG pathway annotation and enrichment analysis service, KEGG enrichment analysis service.
- Provide molecular dynamics simulation, or coarse-grained dynamics simulation, to study the details of the interaction between target small molecules and BDNF.
-
Provide corresponding raw data, result analysis and image processing services.
